The Ephraims family has had a long connection with rugby starting back in Sri Lanka with Conrad and his two brothers Leslie and Desmond attending and playing for St Peters College, then Havelocks Rugby Club. Conrad also represented Sri Lanka (Ceylon) before moving to Melbourne with his wife Julia and son Michael.
It was here that the Ephraims family joined Moorabbin and the Victorian rugby community. Conrad’s sons Michael and Darren played through to 1st grade with the Rams and represented Victoria while Conrad’s elder brother Leslie joined the ranks of Victoria’s rugby referees.
Although Conrad and his wife Julia moved up to Brisbane to enjoy their retirement, their relationship with many of the Moorabbin Rams old boys remained strong. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew and loved him.
