Rams January 2023 Update
To Rams community,
The heavy lifting begins for Season 2023! Below is a quick update on junior coaching appointments, pre season start dates, junior 'come and try' day and registrations.
JUNIOR/COLTS COACHING APPOINTMENTS
Coaching appointments have nearly been finalised and we are super excited with the depth of coaching talent and experience being applied at the junior level. All coaches are Level 1 qualified and we have several experienced senior coaches with Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in the mix.
Confirmed head coach appointments are:
U11 - Richard Short
U12 - Ike Vailoaloa
U13 - (TBC)
U14 - Rayne Simpson
U15 - Ian Nathan
U16 - Mike Motu
U18 - Matt Golden
U20 - Masi Tusitala
All teams will have assistant coaches (also nearly finalised) and team managers, with additional volunteers required for roles such as first aid and assistant referee (touch judge). A specific call for volunteers will be made next month but if you would like to express early interest in any of these roles (or in qualifying as a referee) please contact Club Secretary, Chris Roberts (chris.roberts@ramsrugby.club)
JUNIOR PRE SEASON TRAINING BEGINS
Pre season training for the U11-U20 age groups commences next week (from January 30th).
* U11 & 12s Wednesday (6-7:30pm)
* U14s - Monday's and Wednesday's (6-7:30pm)
* U15 to U20 - Tuesday's and Thursday's. (6-7:30pm)

COME AND TRY DAY
On Saturday February 4th from 4.30pm - 6.00pm we will host a ‘come and try’ day at the club. Open to all age groups from U6-U20. This is a great chance to see what our great game is all about, meet some good people (kids and parents) and ask all those burning questions (like, how do I register with the Rams?).
A parent information session will be held at 5pm, followed by a BBQ and drinks.
