2026 Phuket 11s tour

Our touring Rams went back to play in the Phuket 11s over the weekend of the 5th to 7th of June. This time as part of the “One Foot in the Grave“over 45’s comp.

Moorabbin have had a long history with this comp and the first team made the trip in 2002. We are still fortunate as 3 time Champions of the tournament to hold the record as the most successful team over the last 24 years.

The touring team went, not just for rugby, but for friendship, laughter, terrible decisions, and supporting the incredible work of the Asia Centre Foundation who look after orphans in Phuket. Since the Tsunami in 2004 the Rams have sponsored 4 children through school every year and this year, with some extra fund raising, the team were able to sponsor 5 children for 2026.

And to top off the tournament this year, the boys managed to snag another piece of silverwear as winners of the Tea Cup in the over 45s comp.
